I have always been interested in photography. Growing up, my father was always taking photos and it wasn't long before I had my own camera and was absorbing all of my father's knowledge and making my own wonderful memories. My father didn't live long enough to discover the joys of the digital world, but I know that he would have enjoyed my vision and I would have enjoyed being able to teaching him, the possibilities that the digital world holds.
Years ago I started with a film camera, and can boast that I have 13 of my own photo albums sitting on a shelf in my home. It is great to have all of those wonderful memories to look back on, and some day soon I will save all of those wonderful memories to disk. A few years ago, I presented my oldest boy with a CD of all of his photos from birth up to and including my two beautiful grandchildren, and plan on doing it for all the children. When my father passed, I received our family album which I am in the process of restoring to digital. All images have been scanned and I am in slowly, as time allows, cropping, retouching and restoring them in Photoshop so each of us has a copy.
I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive of what I do, and will often call out for me to bring my camera to the back yard because he has discovered something new for me to capture. Between the two of us we have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. A few years ago my hubby bought me my first DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera and that is when Divinetouchstudios.com became a reality.
I love taking photos of children and pets as their pure and simple spirits make my heart smile. Brantford was my home for 16 years and I have to say that it has a lot of beautiful areas surrounding it. Where else can you take a 20 minute drive and end up in Paris, Boston, or Scotland. I have since moved to Tillsonburg and am having a blast discovering all that this town has to offer. When I am not taking photos of clients, I love the outdoors and all it has to offer. You can usually find me on the trails taking photos of wild flowers or birds, or capturing that perfect sunrise or sunset.
Horses have always been a passion of mine, I love everything about them. I love to ride, but I don't always have the time. Since 2013 I have been given the opportunity to photograph three of our local horse clubs, and look forward to capturing all those wonderful moments as the horse and rider round the barrels, or weave through poles.
